Stephen King can be described as one of the greatest horror and mystery based book writers or authors of all time. King has written many books that were so good that they were adapted into films and other cinema. Films and cinema like the ones we bring before you today with updates.

The books turned cinema we speak of is none other than his once classic film 'IT' and upcoming television show for his book titled 'The Mist.' Today we come before you to inform you that both of King's features are coming to the screen again.

We come to inform you that the then book turned 2007 film 'The Mist' will now be adapted into a television show. It was confirmed that a 'The Mist' television series was picked up and given the greenlight by Spike TV and is set to release 2017. A television series for the book had been in works since last September.

The guys over at Variety had reported that Spike TV had ordered a pilot in February but ended up greenlighting 10 hourlong episodes of the series even before the pilot was completed. (Must’ve been a hell of a pitch.) The show will be produced by TWC-Dimension TV, which—via The Weinstein Company—also produced Frank Darabont’s 2007 feature film take on The Mist. That version was notable for adding a much darker (some might say “emotionally scarring”) ending to King’s original tale.

Wonder if we will get to see the same monsters from the spectacular 2007 film?

Moving along, we want to inform you that King's other horror genre 'IT' has start filming. King himself recently tweeted "The Dark Tower movie is filming; IT begins soon. Pretty cool." IT will be R-rated and has a script that as of February was being reworked by Gary Doberman. Andy Muscietti will direct the adaptation, which is planned by New Line to be two films.

The first adaptation of the novel came in 1990 as a TV mini-series. No specific release schedule for the films has been given.
