Ralph Fiennes Want to Play Voldermort Again in 'Fantastic Beasts' Series

Fantastic Beasts saw the return of JK Rowling's Harry Potter Universe with this particular arc taking places decades before the original Harry Potter series with all new unseen characters with a few recently known characters thrown in.

The series started off in 2016 with the first movie 'Fantastic Beats and Where to find them', which followed Newt Scamander and his search for a few beasts or magical beasts that escaped during his travel to uncover an insidious incident in New York. The movie later introduced the notorious and one of the most powerful Dark Wizards in history Gellert Grindlewald who is played by phenomenal actor Johnny Depp.

This is the same character that a second film in the Fantastic Beasts series entitled or subtitled 'The Crime of Grindlewald.' The first film was okay, but the second film was also said to be mediocre but not as bad as good as the first film due to controversy surrounding Depp and ex-wife Amber Heard, which it is now being stated that Depp was framed in the matter and actually (SO FAR) has been proved to have been the victim.

Never the less, Depp is showcasing the Dark Wizard Grindlewald. However, another actor wants to return back to the fold as one of the greatest Dark Wizards in history. Actor Ralph Fiennes who played Voldermort in the original series has his eyes on playing Voldermort once again if need be in the 'Fantastic Beasts' series, which the last time Fiennes played Voldermort was in 2011 in 'Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows-Part 2'

In a recent interview with The Express, Fiennes expressed his willingness to portray Voldermort again on the big screen and pointing to his affection to playing the character. Fiennes also referenced variants that would allow him to portray Voldermort once again.

Fiennes stated:

“Well, there are variants, aren’t there? Fantastic Beasts and things. I feel a kind of affection for Voldemort. So if there was a world in which Voldemort came back, I would be very possessive about wanting to reprise that.”

In any case, many fans have talked and expressed the desire to see Voldermort on the big screen again in any way they can. Many fans also expressed wanting to see Voldermort in an origin story after the original Harry Potter series had initially ended. It would be kind of great to see Voldermort in the Fantastic Beasts series probably as a very small child, baby or something.

I say give the man his origin story. Besides the other extremely intriguing characters in the Harry Potter films, he as one of not only the most intriguing and one of the most powerful characters but arguably the most powerful dark wizard in the world.
