Disney Acquisition of Fox Will Close March 20.

Disney's acquisition of 20th Century Fox is still the talk of the entertainment industry. As aforementioned many times, the giant already owns Marvel Studios, Lucas film and all their big box office and money making rights to all that come with each. For example, Disney owning Marvel Studios had already showed us that Disney is banking off of Marvel's characters like Captain America, Thor or all the Avengers which the MCU altogether has made over $17.5 Billion dollars worldwide with over 18 movies and this is just off the movies and not the merchandise and other, which makes it a huge bank. Disney purchased Lucasfilm for $4 Billion in 2012 which included the Indian Jones series and the Star Wars series which Disney has banked all its money back that it spent as of 2015 and made $4.8 Billion at the box office alone.

Knowing these numbers and how influential just these two series are and how financially powerful these series are, many people are still guessing what it will mean when Disney acquires 20th Century Fox. Others are wondering how much longer do they have to wait to see the full acquisition, or albeit the News portion of, 20th Century Fox will be completed by Disney.

Well today we come before you to reveal that Disney is closing its $71B acquisition of Fox pretty soon.

Disney recently announced that the deal to acquire Fox is expected to become effective at 12:02 a.m. Eastern Time on March 20, 2019, suggesting that it has obtained or went through the final steps and approvals that are needed to close the deal, which the last was regulations in Mexico.

Disney's first initial bid for 20th Century Fox was $52.4 Billion. However, Comcast bid higher for the acquisition and this prompted Disney to increase its bid to $71.3 Billion.

The acquisition will have Disney buy Fox's film and television portions giving the entity the control of from 30-60 percent of Hulu and control over movie series like series like Predator, Alien, Avatar and more. However, this would also see the film rights of Marvel's other characters back into the hands of Marvel. This includes X-Men, Deadpool, and Fantastic Four.

The downside to this acquisition is that the pull together is expected to lead to more than 4,000 layoffs, which is extremely bad in any case.

Disney is not acquiring Fox News, Fox Sports the Fox broadcast network and other assets and Fox will be dropped into another entity which will be called Fox Corporation.
