Cowboy Bebop: Live Action Cast for Netflix Series Revealed.

Cowboy Bebop is one of the greatest anime that has ever been introduced to the world. The show that follows bounty hunter Spike Spiegel and the rest of the Bebop crew that includes Faye Valentine, Jet Black and Edward. The Bebop crew travel through the Solar system locking up bad guys and more in the futuristic series that blends a lot of Jazz and action into one series.

Well the series was a hit and now Netflix is bringing the series to the small screen or their platform. Netflix had been in talks to make a series of Cowboy Bebop after they required the rights to do so.

Now the official cast for the film has been revealed. Netflix has revealed that the actors who will play in the film will be Jon Cho as Spike, Mustafa Shakir is Jet, Daniella Pineda will play Faye and Alex Hassell will play Vicious.

Netflix had picked up the series for 10 episodes way back in November. The series is described to almost mimic the series with the Jazz-inspired, genre pushing story of the Bebop crew.

There is no information on who will be portraying Edward. Creator Shinichirō Watanabe will have creative input for the show, however, how much is not certain at this point.

The studios behind the original series will also executive produce along with Mary Adelstein and Becky Clements of Tomorrow Studios, Tetsu Fujimura, and Matthew Weinberg. The series will also be co-produced between Netflix and Tomorrow Studios, with Netflix handling the physical production.

So far in my opinion, the cast is okay. However, Jon Chu playing Spike Spiegel is kind of off seeing that most fans will judge the series off how closely feature relatable the cast will be to the original animated cast. Spike is 6'1 and 27 years old and Chu is 5'8 and 40 odd years old. Then the problem with Spiegel being Caucasian may actually play a factor to some. The rest of the cast meets the qualifications.

Jet's race may be changed as Mustafa Shakir will be portraying him. However, Shakir looks the part of the character itself.

It is nice though as a side note that Watanabe will be taking part in the series. He probably can make sure things go the way of the series that we all love.
